Conceptualized, produced, and edited a promotional video for the Cooperative Extension Farmer’s Market, using strategic multimedia storytelling to highlight the market’s mission, offerings, and community value. The project enhanced public awareness, increased community engagement, and supported participation in a local food access initiative.

Designed and implemented a comprehensive one year intergenerational program in 2009 to strengthen relationships between high school students and older adults. The initiative fostered mutual understanding, collaboration, and problem solving while addressing community challenges and supporting innovative, relationship driven solutions. Demonstrated strong program design, leadership, and a sustained commitment to intergenerational community engagement.

Bicycle Committee Founder, Mitchell County (2008): Pioneered the creation of a bicycle committee to promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation in Mitchell County. Coordinated efforts to advocate for cycling infrastructure, safety, and awareness in the community. Demonstrated strong leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to environmentally friendly transportation solutions.

Coordinated the Hope Games in Colorado, successfully planning and executing a community wide fundraising event that generated financial support for the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The initiative strengthened community engagement, fostered cross organizational collaboration, and advanced support for pediatric health services.

Organized and coordinated two community based half marathon fundraising events. The first initiative raised financial support for a family facing pediatric cancer without health insurance, while the second generated funding for free mammograms and additional resources supporting a cancer resource room. These events combined community engagement, logistical planning, and mission driven fundraising to address urgent health related needs.

Completed a Health Education Internship at the Mitchell County Health Department, building collaborative relationships with community partners and public health stakeholders to support effective health education outreach. Contributed to cross organizational initiatives, coordinated outreach events, and implemented communication strategies to disseminate critical health information, address community needs, and advance public health objectives.

Organized and coordinated the inaugural Pink Games fundraising event, generating $7,000 for Relay for Life in its first year. Successfully established the event as a recurring annual initiative, creating a sustainable fundraising tradition that continued to deliver ongoing community impact and financial support for cancer research and awareness efforts.

Spearheaded and executed a successful initiative to establish a tobacco free policy at a community college. Led strategic advocacy and awareness efforts while collaborating with students, faculty, and administrative stakeholders to build broad support and achieve institutional policy adoption. The initiative resulted in a healthier campus environment and strengthened long term public health outcomes.

I have completed multiple FEMA Emergency Management Institute certifications focused on incident command, emergency response coordination, and national preparedness systems. These trainings strengthened my understanding of how public health, healthcare systems, and government agencies coordinate during emergencies, disasters, and large-scale public safety events. The coursework emphasized structured decision-making, interagency communication, and operational leadership within the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

Coached cross country at the high school level, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and long term athletic development. Additionally coached track and field at both the high school and middle school levels, providing mentorship that supported athletic performance, physical fitness, and personal growth. Earned a Level 1 Track and Field coaching certification from USA Track and Field, strengthening technical expertise and evidence based coaching practices.
